Are Collyre Bleu Eye Drops Dangerous?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Makeup artists for celebrities have used Collyre Bleu eye drops previously to whiten the eyes and reduce any redness. Also, they will enhance the color of naturally blue eyes. However, unlike some of the rumors have said about this product, it will not turn one’s dark eyes blue. I will only add a blue tint to the color. The real question that consumers are asking today is: Is this dangerous?
Adding color to one’s eye sounds a bit unsafe to some skeptics, but Collyre Bleu eye drops are made with all natural ingredients. The blue applicant in the drops is Methylene Blue, which is the first all-natural blue dye. This dye will not harm your body, especially your eyes, and was only created to enhance the color of your eyes – at a safe rate. The dye comes in 10 small tubes and is applied only at a recommended 2 drops in each eye for a two to three day period. One dose will last all day, so there is no need to keep applying, unlike other drops. However, if one wears contacts, it may interfere with eyesight once the contacts are put over the drops.
Other eye drop products contain tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, which eliminates the redness in the eyes by constricting blood vessels in the eye. This process was not the route that Collyre Bleu wanted to take and does not include tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride. Instead the company has decided the easiest way to soothe the irritation in one’s eye would be to use a natural eye wash.
So, that begs the answer to the original question of, “Is this dangerous?” The answer is that, like anything that includes chemicals, it should be used in moderation and the directions should be followed word-by-word. If used to its specifications, then, no, it is not a dangerous product. It can enhance the color of one’s blue eyes and give the appearance of alertness by safely whitening one’s sclera. This is a product that will bring out the true beauty that is hiding behind red, dry eyes and make blue eyes look more striking than ever before.
